Peregrines watch over Aviemore from their home on Craigellachie. SNH Manage this National Nature Reserve and other at Craig Meagaidh near Loch Laggan in 'Monarch of the Glen' country at the southern end of our Speyside Valley.

Each year the Ospreys travel thousands of miles from Africa, a visit to them at the nearby Osprey Centre at Loch garten is a very special thing to do.

The Highland Wildlife Park is an absolutely top attraction, the kids and adults really enjoy it, especially the unique safari experience. Another new opportunity awaits at the Cairngorms Reindeer Centre, as this year they are offering a 4 hour trek with the Reindeer.

To give the kids (and adults) an active challenge take them to The Landmark Centre at Carrbridge with its awesome water slide.

Or have a go at the Indoor Climbing Wall in Aviemore; you don't have to be superfit but it probably helps, and they do give tuition for all levels.

If the kids are still not tired out, how about a trip to the Kids Funhouse at Coylumbridge just 1 mile up the ski road from the Cairngorms west House?
